Aspire is a company that has been around since the early days of vaping.
Their experience in building vape gear means that they know a thing or two about what vapers want.
Here we take a closer look at the EVO75 Kit, which, in my opinion, has a lot to offer…
PACKAGING & DESIGN
The Aspire EVO75 Kit comes in a nice black box with an image of the mod and the brand name emblazoned on the front.
Inside you’ll find the device itself with the included EVO tank beside it. Remove the top layer and you’ll find a USB cable, replacement 4ml pyrex tube, an extra coil, a user manual, warranty card, and a rubber cuff.
The EVO75 is a sleek looking device in brushed metal. The buttons are angular instead of the usual round shape.
There are five buttons in all, the fire button, +/- adjustment buttons, a “W” button, and a “T” button.
The latter two buttons stand for Wattage and Temperature. I’ll get in to more detail about this later in the review.
Before we get into that there are a couple of things that I don’t like about this MOD. The first thing is that you’re stuck with the drip tip. Unfortunately this cant be changed.
Secondly, the buttons rattle on my device when shaken. This is subjective and some of you might not be that bothered about a little rattle, but it’s a con for me and needs to be addressed.

FUNCTIONALITY
The EVO75 pumps out up to 75 watts, which is perfect for me as I rarely go above 70W. The kit comes with a 0.4 ohm coil installed, with a spare 0.5 ohm coil in the box, and both coils vape great.
It also comes with a very capable chipset that gives you five vaping modes: variable wattage, bypass, temperature control (supports nickel, titanium, and stainless steel), TCR, and CFBP (Customisable Firing Button Profile or power curve mode).
But what is Power Curve Mode?
It basically acts as a preheat option where you set the starting wattage at a higher setting than the “set” one. So if you are vaping at 35 watts, you can set the power curve option to 45 watts.
When you press the fire button, the mod initially fires at 45 watts before settling down to your set 35 watts. It’s an interesting option to have, but I don’t tend to use it.
Another interesting feature which is much more useful, is password protection. It basically makes your mod child-proof.
As far as I know, this is the only mod that utilises this feature, but I expect it to become a more common safety feature.
As mentioned, the EVO75 has 5 buttons, which is a few more than most MODs. These include the usual fire button, the adjustment buttons, and two extra ones labelled “W” and “T.”
These two new buttons stand for “Wattage” and “Temperature”. If you want to vape in temperature control mode, you don’t have to dive deep in the menu to access it. Instead, you can just press the “T” button three times to switch to TC mode.
To go back to wattage mode, simply press the “W” button. The addition of these buttons saves you time when you want to switch between the two modes.
While I’m not one to frequently switch from TC to Wattage and back, if you do find yourself doing this, you’ll love these extra buttons!
If you want to get stealthy with your vaping you do have the option to turn the screen off while vaping. Simply click on the fire button three times and you’re good to go.
To lock all buttons except the fire button, press the “W” button and the + button simultaneously so your settings won’t inadvertently change while on the go.
DISPLAY
The display on the EVO75 is your typical VW OLED display. It shows the current wattage/temperature, the resistance of your atomizer, battery level, and the profile set (if you are using profiles). It is bright and clear enough to see under daylight.
BATTERY DETAILS
The EVO75 uses a single 18650 battery. Battery life depends on the mAh rating of the battery you’re using. Though you can charge your battery using the USB port on the device, I always recommend using an external charger.
Changing batteries is a breeze. The device has a unique battery installation design that makes it easy to replace them. It fits batteries snugly resulting in no rattles. The design also prevents tearing of the battery wrap, which is another plus.
ASPIRE EVO TANK DETAILS
The EVO75 Kit comes with an Aspire Evo tank which is similar to, if not better than, the Aspire Atlantis (which is a very good tank). The kit comes with two coils: a pre-installed 0.4 ohm and a 0.5 ohm additional coil.
Both vape really and produce good flavor. If you have any spare Atlantis coils lying about, you’ll be happy to know that you can use those in the Evo tank.
Sadly the tank capacity is only 2ml and you’ll go through that in no time if you’re vaping above 40W. On the plus, the tank is easy to fill being top-fill. Simply unscrew the top cap and fill it up.
There is an airflow control ring at the bottom of the tank so you can switch between full lung hits and restrictive lung hits. It produces good clouds, great flavor, and I haven’t had any leaking issues.
One other thing I don’t like about the tank is that the drip tip is permanently attached to the top cap. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an okay drip tip, but I would have preferred it if I could swap it for my own.
DISLIKES
- Tank capacity – The included tank only takes in 2ml, which goes quickly at 40+ watts.
- Accidental presses – The buttons are very responsive, resulting in many accidental presses while in the pocket. Make sure you always lock the device when not in use
- No way to use own drip tips – The top cap has its own drip tip attached, so you can’t use your favorite ones on the tank
- Button rattles – When you shake the device, the button rattles. Granted it’s only noticeable if you shake the device, but for me, buttons that rattle makes the mod feel a little cheap. Just my opinion.
LIKES
- Power curve – Though not useful to me, it’s a nice to have a different option to the norm
- Solid design – Sleek and clean design makes it a pleasure to hold
- Battery installation design – The unique design makes it easy to replace batteries and ensure you don’t tear your battery wraps. It also fits batteries snugly
- Includes Aspire Evo Tank – A great tank to have included with this kit
- Top fill tank – Less hassle when refilling
- Flavor – The Evo Tank produces great flavor similar to that of the Atlantis Tank
- Coil compatibility – Evo Tank can use the same coils as the Atlantis
- Password protection – As far as I know this is the first of its kind. Makes your mod child-proof.
- Device lock – The ability to lock all buttons except the fire button is a big plus as well
SHOULD YOU GET EVO75?
The Aspire Evo75 Kit is more than just a starter kit, it’s a powerful, capable device that will satisfy even the most vapers. The design is great, performance even better. And it’s surprisingly simple to use.
The only real negatives I could find is the button rattle and the 2ml tank. I’ve managed to overlook these due to the overall great performance of the MOD.
