Innokin Cool Fire 2 Exclusive Kit Review

Innokin Cool Fire 2 Exclusive Kit

The military style Innokin Cool Fire 2 Exclusive Kit is the latest addition to the Innokin brand. They’ve been famous in the past as producers of high powered PCCs and MODs.

The design of this Mod is pleasing to the eyes and it’s extremely comfortable to hold. It’s available in two colors: green and black and looks like a high end luxurious vapor device with great features and excellent performance.

PACKAGING & DESIGN

It comes in a simple brown box – there’s nothing much special about it. Inside you’ll find the Cool Fire 2 MOD, a user manual and a brand new Innokin iClear 30S Dual Coil Tank. The first thing that I noticed was the grenade design of the electronic cigarette.

The pictures really don’t do it justice. It feels super sturdey and has a sturdy masculine feel to it. Keep in mind that you don’t get batteries with the kit and you’ll need to get one separately . I’d recommend using an IMREN 18350 battery.

MOD DETAILS

The Cool Fire 2 has a nice weight to it, 199 grams in total, making it much nicer to hold when compared to an eGo style e-cig. It has a tension system that resembles a small cap covering a strong spring, which does a great job of keeping the battery in its place.

The 18350 battery is very limited in its capacity so if you plan to vape all day with this you’re going to need a back up.

Innokin has kept the safety of its users in mind while designing this MOD. With the reverse battery protection circuit and the built-in 7 amp fuse, it will prevent the battery from being affected if more than 7 amps is produced.

There are also vent holes in the battery cover in the unlikely event that the battery does overheat and spill fumes.

I found that the ten second firing cut off feature was a little unnecessary for me as I rarely inhale for more than 4 or 5 seconds max, but if you happen to take long slow inhales, this will ensure you don’t overheat it!

Another safety feature built in is the selector wheel warning. This causes the power button to flash if the selector wheel is wedged between two wattage settings. With all of these safety features, Innokin is an ideal first MOD for you if you’ve not tried one before.

The MOD, like its predecessors, has a wattage selection wheel where you can select from 7.0-12.5 watts, which works like a charm.

Other features included in the MOD are the battery level indicator, On/Off switch, LED power display, overtime vaping warning and a high compatibility 510 connector which works smoothly with clearomizers, such as iClear10 and iClear30.

Unlike other Innokin devices, the 510 connection post is free floating. The copper contact post does not have to be manually adjusted and the beauty ring with air holes in it allows ventilation when your tank is flush mounted.

PRICE & SHIPPING CHARGES

The Innokin Cool Fire 2 kit is available for £49.99, which is quite reasonable for such a high quality MOD, but only if you’re happy with a MOD with a low wattage output. 12 watts is not near enough for me, but if you’re not one for using high watts, you should be more than happy with this.

If you’re in the UK shipping is completely free if you’re happy with second class signed for. If you want it sooner first class post will cost you just £3.25 or Special Delivery, which costs from £5.79. There’s no free postage option for international customers and the cost will depend on your location.

WARRANTY & GUARANTEE

You’ll get a 30 day manufacturers warranty with this MOD, which is pretty short when compared to most other companies and manufacturers. Any faults after the 30 days will become your responsibility.

On a more positive note Innokin will let you to cancel your order within 7 days of receiving the kit if you change your mind, giving you some peace of mind and an opportunity to try it first. The kit must not be damaged so it’s important to be careful while assembling the MOD.

OVERALL PURCHASE SATISFACTION

I’m a little disappointed that the warranty is so short at just 30 days. Let’s face it, it’s not uncommon for faults to occur in any electrical device.

With this in mind it doesn’t fill me with too much confidence knowing that I could end up with an £50 MOD sitting around because I’m unable to get it working.

Having said this, I did do plenty of research and found nothing on-line to suggest that these go faulty regularly.

In my early vaping days when I vaped at much lower wattages I would have been more than happy with this MOD with an extra battery. It does a good job for what it is. Yes, it’s a little gimmicky, but it does look pretty cool.

If you like the look of this MOD and you’re currently using cig-a-like e-cigs or a low wattage MOD for that matter you’ll probably be okay with this, but £50 is a lot of money for a max 12.5 wattage MOD when you look at what you can buy today.
