ROK Ultimate Ego Kit Review

Rok Ultimate Legend

ROK has decided to expand their ROK Legend eGo kit; their ROK Ultimate Legend includes everything in the original and a ton of extras – perfect for beginners and a good addition if you’re already vaping.

Whether you’re considering making the switch from traditional cigarettes to electronic cigarettes or if you’re looking to upgrade your current kit, this starter kit is certainly worth a look.

  • Two high-powered batteries (900mAh and 1300mAh)
  • Good vapor production
  • Three tankomisers with a lifespan of about 30 days
  • Color-coded power-level indicator so you’ll always stay charged

PACKAGING & DESIGN

I quite like the this eGo vape, it has a nice appeal and is durable. Since this is their “Ultimate Kit” it does come packed with a lot of extras. The shiny black box has most of the contents tucked neatly inside while several of the other components (spare battery, carry case, e-liquid, etc.) are packaged separately inside the larger box. One cool feature I liked that doesn’t come with many kits  is the screw top lid. The can be placed over the mouthpiece to keep it protected and clean when not in use. A nice little addition!

VAPOUR PRODUCTION

Since the kit comes with two fairly high-powered batteries, its performance when it comes to vapor production is more than satisfactory. I tried this with varying amounts of PG/VG mixed e-liquids and found the vapor production to be a little better than I expected.

FUNCTIONALITY

This has a battery protection system that requires you to press the button three times to activate and deactivate the device. If you’re already using e-cigs you’ll probably be familiar with the BPS. Most other devices require a 5-button push, so you may have to get used this one.

TANK DETAILS

The tanks, which ROK terms “tankomisers,” have a 2.4ml capacity, and you’ll get three of them with this kit. They should last you around 5 refills or 30 days, but this will depend on how frequently you vape and the type of juice used. You’ll find that replacements are reasonably priced at £5.99 each.

BATTERY DETAILS

The Ultimate Legend Kit includes two batteries, and both pack some serious power. The 900mAh should hold a charge for more than a day, while the 1,300mAh (one of the highest we’ve seen so far) will likely last a couple of days. (Of course, these numbers diminish with heavier use.)

If you’re not a fan of the e-cigs that keep you guessing about the battery until they just stop working, you’ll enjoy the color-coded power level indicator; when you press the button, it’ll glow green, yellow, or red based on your remaining charge.

PRICE & SHIPPING CHARGES

The ROK Ultimate Legned isn’t the cheapest kit on the market, but you are getting a lot for the £49.99 you pay, and it’s for this reason we think it’s worth every penny.

Orders under £50 will run you just £2.99 in shipping, which isn’t too bad, but any orders over £50 ship completely free. Considering that the kit costs £49.99, you may want to tack on an extra tankomiser or e-liquid to take advantage of the free shipping.

WARRANTY & GUARANTEE

The tankomisers are covered by ROK’s “dead on arrival” warranty and require you to contact the company within 48 hours of receipt. Batteries are under warranty for 60 days, and chargers are covered for a year.

While you may cancel your contract with ROK within 7 days if you happen to change your mind, you should know that products must be returned in their original, unopened condition.

OVERALL PURCHASE SATISFACTION

Ultimately, the ROK Ultimate Legend is a worthwhile kit to invest in for vapers who want the power without the bulk.

Having said this I wouldn’t suggest investing this much into a kit of you’re not already vaping and just want to experiment first as there are plenty more inexpensive vape pens you could try first.

There isn’t much about it that I can fault and think anyone that decides to pick this up will be happy with it.
