Vaporesso Target 75VTC Box Mod Kit Review

Vaporesso Black 75 W Target Vtc Kit

The average box mod has a very specific look and feel that doesn’t really do much for vapers looking for something a little more unique. A big part of the vaping trend is the ability to create a device that suits your own personal style.

I think it’s fair to say that the Vaporesso Target 75VTC is about to shake things up a little in the box mod market. It doesn’t look like what you would expect a box mod to look like, and it contains a couple of features that may well end up being game changers.

That is not to say that it’s a perfect unit, though, as I am of the opinion that such a thing doesn’t exist yet. When looking for a good box mod, you want something that has more positives than negatives, so let’s take a look and see if the Vaporesso Target 75VTC is able to deliver just that.

PACKAGING & DESIGN

I think that it’s pretty fair to say that this unit is unlike anything else that you have ever seen in this particular vaping category. The Vaporesso Target 75VTC comes in 5 distinct colors, including pink and purple varieties that are sure to be a hit with the ever expanding female vapers market.

The design of the unit is ergonomically pleasing, and without the tank in place, you could be excused for thinking that you are looking at a gun handle. That is further emphasized by the placement of the fire button, which will have you feeling as tough you are triggering your vaping session.

The device fits nicely in the hand, is beautifully packaged, and has all of the essential controls located in areas that make them easy to get to. This design really does earn a huge thumbs up from me.

FUNCTIONALITY

The design of this unit sets it apart from the crowd, but it’s the performance that really counts for most vapers. What you are getting here is nothing particularly special, but it’s still up there with the better performers in its price range. There is a major standout to discuss, but that is something that we will get to in the next couple of sections of this review.

As mentioned earlier, the firing button is located just below the tank, which means it will be operated with your index finger, as opposed to the thumb controls found on other mods. Power up the device using the 5-click method that most of you are probably already used to.

Directly below this button is the OLED display, which is clear and easy to read, but which has been known to act up a little when your battery power is getting down low – something I haven’t experienced, but others have.

There are a pair of buttons for toggling the temperature up and down, and I found that the best flavor and vapor quality came when operating the device between 30 and 50W. Your setting will vary depending on personal preference, of course.

We will talk about the tank that comes with the Vaporesso Target 75VTC in a moment, but it is worth stating that this device was able to quite easily handle all manner of different tanks that I threw at it.

This is not a device that is going to blow you away with performance, but the nest sections I am about to discuss is where the big selling point for this unit comes into play.

TANK DETAILS

At first glance, the cCell tank that comes with the Vaporesso Target 75VTC looks like nothing very special.

It is the sort of tank that you have seen countless times before on other devices. It’s made from stainless steel and Pyrex glass, and is able to hold about 3.5 ml of liquid, which you fill from the bottom.

It’s about as standard as it gets for a tank, but the thing that makes it really stand out is the coil on the inside.

COIL DETAILS

The cCell ceramic coil found in the tank of the Vaporesso Target 75VTC is the game changer that I was talking about earlier in this piece.

The whole thing is totally wickless, and is instead comprised of a porous ceramic heating element developed by the good folks at Vaporesso.

The coil appears to be as close to leak-resistant as it gets, and since there is no cotton coming into contact with your liquid, the flavors delivered are about as pure as it gets.

Check any of the reviews on this device, and you’ll see that this is the one feature that everyone is raving about.

BATTERY DETAILS

The whole unit is powered by a single 18650 battery, which can be recharged using the USB charger that comes with the kit.

A lot of newer, more powerful units are going with two or three of these batteries, which can make the device on the heavy side.

The use of a single battery here is all the power you should need for a day’s vape, although I would suggest getting a second battery if you’re a heavy vaper, as well as a standalone charger if you don’t own one already.

DISLIKES

  • OLED display may act up when battery is low
  • Control buttons are plastic and a little cheap looking
  • It’s subjective, but I’m not particularly fond of the design
  • Bottom Fill Only

LIKES

  • Outstanding ergonomic design
  • State of the art cCell coil that delivers great performance and flavor
  • Very affordable
  • Easy to use right out of the box
  • Ability to attach a number of different tanks and coils via a 510 connector
  • Easy temperature controls

SHOULD YOU GET THE TARGET 75?

Overall, the Vaporesso Target 75VTC box mod is not a device that is going to set the world on fire in terms of what it offers in the features department.

Where it does stand out is with the cCell coil, which is absolutely outstanding.

Well worth a look at a very affordable price point if you like the design.
