Wismec is known for its powerful devices such as the RX200 and RX2/3.
The dual and triple battery configurations have been quite popular amongst vapers old and new.
Wismec have been releasing new devices of all shapes and sizes, and their latest is the RX300.
While it’s not the first of it’s kind, it does pack a whopping four 18650 batteries with many of the other great features we’re used to.
Let’s put it under the microscope to see how it fairs….
PACKAGING & DESIGN
If you think the RX200 series of mods were huge, the RX300 is even more so.
Measuring at 81mm high, 58mm wide, and a whopping 24mm thick, this mod is not something you’ll easily pocket.
Its design is similar to its predecessors with the fire button on the front with the OLED screen, adjustment buttons, and USB port. Even the color scheme has been mimicked.
The overall build quality is excellent.
There’s no battery or button rattling buttons and every part fits perfectly flush with each other.
The RX300 looks and feels every bit a high-end mod should be, but what’s the functionality like?

FUNCTIONALITY
When it comes to functionality, the RX300 is a beast.
Able to put out up to 300 watts, it also has temperature control with a range of 200F to 600F.
TC mode can accommodate Ni, Ti, and SS coils with a minimum resistance that goes down to 0.05 ohms.
For variable wattage, the minimum resistance is 0.1 ohms. You can also set the wattage in TC mode, which is a welcome feature if you crave total control over your vape.
Both variable wattage and temperature control modes work great, with no hiccups whatsoever.
While you can use any sized atomizers on the mod, those with 30mm and above diameters will have some overhang.
The chipset works flawlessly and its firmware can be upgraded via the Micro USB port just like the other RX’s.
ONe thing I quite like about this RX300 is that it has power bank capabilities so you can charge your phone or other gadgets at any time.
If you’re a smartphone owner you’ll probably find this quite useful since most smartphones struggle to hold enough power to last you a full day.
The menu system is easy to navigate and diving into the options won’t leave you lost and confused.
It’s all user-friendly, even beginners will find it a breeze to use.
DISPLAY
The display is a large 0.96 inch OLED screen that give you access to essential information.
This includes details on the power, resistance, voltage output, as well as battery levels for each of the batteries.
The screen itself isn’t as bright as I’d like and can be difficult to see outside, but it’s also not the worst I’ve had.
BATTERY DETAILS
Taking on four 18650 batteries, you can expect the RX300 to last a good while before it needs to be recharged.
Unless you charge your phone with it, and vape at the maximum 300 watts, you’ll last 2 to 3 days with a single charge.
The battery door has a latch to securely hold the batteries in place and has a pair of three slot venting on both sides of the battery cover.
Charging can be done via USB slot, though it’s recommended that you use an external charger. They’re not very expensive and will charge your batteries a heck of a lot faster.
The only gripe I have regarding the batteries is that they don’t discharge evenly.
If possible, mark the batteries A, B, C, and D, and rotate their placement in the mod after each charge to ensure equal discharge cycles.
DISLIKES
- Bulky and Heavy – As expected with a quad battery mod, the RX300 is not a pocketable device
- 30mm Atomizer Overhang – Unless you don’t mind the overhang, better stick to atomizers with diameters less than 30mm
- Batteries Don’t Discharge Evenly – For some reasons, batteries don’t discharge evenly, best rotate them regularly
- Screen Brightness – Screen could be brighter. It’s easy to see indoors, but when you go outside into sunlight things become more of a struggle to read
LIKES
- Power Bank Capability – A great feature if you need to charge your phone in a pinch
- Excellent Build Quality – No rattling buttons and everything fits perfectly
- TC Works Great – TC works flawlessly and accurately
- No 510 Issues – No connector issues, no misalignments, no gaps
- Battery Compartment – Easy to open and close, it also has ample venting for safety
- Battery Life – Unless you vape at the max 300 watts, expect battery life to last a full day or so
- Screen Layout – Not like your usual screens, layout is great and everything is easily readable
- Set Wattage in TC – A great feature to have if you want to fine tune your vape
- Plethora of Features – You’ll have everything they need feature-wise, and then some
- Simple Menu System – Easy to navigate and use
SHOULD YOU GET THE RX300?
Overall, I’m really impressed with the RX300.
When it comes to power and features, few come close. There are a few things I’d like to see improved, none of these things would stop me from going out and buying it again if I broke or lost it.
If you’re looking for a high end mod that comes with all the bells and whistles and quad batteries to boot, the RX300 should be high on your list.
I’ll continue using mine due to the battery life, but only at home because of its bulk and weight.
