Jac Vapor V1P+ PCC Starter Kit Review

Jac Vapour V1P Pcc Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit

Frequent travellers who like to take their vapes on the go may have stumbled across the Jac Vapor V1P PCC Starter Kit (PCC standing for Portable Charging Case).

The following review criteria should help you to evaluate whether this kit is a good match for your needs.

  • Classy, discreet appearance, similar to the size of a real cigarette
  • Portable charging case to power up on the move
  • Vapor production is good; throat hit depends on nicotine content
  • Comes with pre-filled or blank cartridges instead of a reusable tank
  • Choose from three battery sizes and a variety of LED battery tip glow colors

PACKAGING & DESIGN

The kit components will arrive in a neatly packaged box with a sharp-looking white, black, and red design. Inside, you’ll find the charging case, a sleek and sturdy aluminium slider case that can fit in your pocket and hold a fully assembled e-cig plus an additional battery.

The e-cigs are attractive and stylish. They’re sized a little larger than real cigarettes and come in three classy color options: black, white, and stainless steel.

KIT CONTENTS

  • 1 x V1P Portable Charging Case
  • 1 x USB cable (200mm)
  • 1 x V3i battery
  • 1 x LED tip for the batteries
  • 5 x Refillable Cartomisers
  • 5 x Mixed colored bungs
  • 1 x Back-up USB charger

VAPOUR PRODUCTION

The V1P’s vapor production is pretty decent, but the throat hit will depend on the amount of nicotine in the e-liquid you order. The higher the nicotine, the harsher the throat hit will be.

Ideally, even if you start out with a higher-mg liquid, you’ll be able to wean yourself with smaller doses in time. Either way, at least you’re skipping the harmful tar and chemicals of regular cigarettes.

FUNCTIONALITY

It’s hard to get much simpler than the Jac Vapor V1P: just screw the cartridge onto the battery and you’re ready to vape.

Some e-cigs require a few preliminary puffs to prime the heating elements, but the V1P produces good vapor right from the first draw.

CARTOMISERS

This kit comes with five pre-filled cartridges (available in Tobacco, Menthol, or Mixed), as opposed to a refillable tank that you can use over and over with your own e-liquids.

If you prefer choosing your own flavors, you can order blank cartridges, but it’ll mean you’re spending extra money on top of the kit price to get them filled.

There are videos available showing you how to refill the refillable cartridges. It can be a little fiddly at first until you get used to it, and you have to be careful not to get the liquid in the hole where you inhale. Otherwise you could end up tasting the e-liquid, which isn’t particularly nice!

BATTERY DETAILS

Only one battery comes with the V1C PCC Kit (there are other kits available that include more), but Jac Vapor does allow you to choose the size. You can get a 55mm, 65mm, or 78mm battery.

The bigger sizes come with increased power and time between charges, but only the 55mm and 65mm can fit inside the charging case.

You can also choose the color of your battery tip (which glows when in use). The 65mm only lasts around 2 hours, which is where the charging case comes in handy.

PRICE & SHIPPING CHARGES

The value really depends on how you like to vape.

If you’re a refill-and-reuse type of person, it’s probably better to buy a vaporiser that allows this instead of re-buying blank cartridges.

But if you like to screw on the cartridge and be ready to go, this is perfect.

Within the UK, orders over £50 ship for free. The kit retails for about £55.00, so you will qualify for their free shipping if you opt for this kit.

WARRANTY & GUARANTEE

Batteries are under warranty for 42 days, while the charger and charging kit are warranted for 4 months.

This is much shorter than many other e-cigarette companies, so if your product is defective, act quickly. Cartridges and e-liquids are not accepted for return.

Jac Vapor’s two-week no-questions-asked guarantee, like the warranty, excludes cartridges and e-liquids, but will accept other undamaged components as long as you contact them promptly.

LIKES

  • Portable Charging Case
  • Good Vapor Production
  • Refillable Cartridges
  • Choice of Battery Size

DISLIKES

  • Single Battery (although option to upgrade)
  • Refilling Cartridges can be a little fiddly
  • Short Warranty

SHOULD YOU GET THE PCC KIT?

Since the V1C PCC Kit only includes one battery, it will work for users who don’t mind a two-hour downtime while it charges, but others should consider adding a second battery to their order or opt for the starter kit that comes with two batteries for an extra £6.00.

I found the portable charger really useful when I was out for a lot of the day, and since most starter kits don’t come with a portable charging case, this kit became more attractive the more I found out about it.

I’d also have to agree with the majority of positive reviews left on Jac’s website about this kit, and would recommend this to anyone looking for something small, portable and effective.
