After a long hiatus, the Aspire Nautilus is back. Dubbed the "Nautilus 2", Aspire opted to stick to its roots rather than go with the cloud chasing flow. More of a mouth-to-tank, the Nautilus 2 looks to grab the attention of OG vapers. It's even compatible with the original 1.8 ohm BVC coils to add to its throwback feel. With its improvements over the original, both in design and function, does it have what it takes to compete in today's cutthroat world of tanks? More curvy and sleek, it looks great to the eyes and feels even better in hand. It still has the same bell shape as the original though in a sexier form. You can say it tries to combine the old with the new, and it works well. The drip tip attached to the bell cap feels nice, and there are two round windows on the side to monitor e-liquid levels. The airflow control is located at the bottom with five air holes to choose from. The airflow is better than the Nautilus Mini by leaps and bounds. However, taste is practically non-existent with a wide open airflow. The flavor improves as you tighten the air flow, though this limits you to use only the tighter airflow options. When filling the tank, you'll probably get some gurgling if you fill it up to the e-liquid line. It does eventually stop gurgling as you get the liquid below that fill line. If you want to avoid the gurgles, try to keep your juice below the fill line. This reduces the already small 2ml capacity of e-liquid to about 1.8ml, but it's better than having to put up with all that gurgling. Now, I have noticed a number of positive reviews this tank has online - it's always a good sign to see so many come from different sources. Sadly, this isn't an experience I've had, and I'm sorry if this dissapoints you. My tank has leaked, and leaked, and leaked. I have managed to get it under some control admittedly but I still have some issues with it. Maybe it's something I'm doing wrong - I really don't know. If you have any tips on how to stop this leaking, please let me know because it's one of the biggest reasons I'm not giving this a good review. Overall, the design is a step-up over the original. It's just a shame that I can't stop mine from leaking! COILS The Aspire Nautilus 2 Tank uses a wide range of coils. You can use the original Nautilus BVC coils, Nautilus Mini coils, Triton Mini coils, and even Triton Clapton Coils. The tank comes with two coil, a 0.7 ohm coil and a 1.8 ohm coil. The The 1.8 ohm coil produces decent vapor, while the 0.7 ohm coil take a long time to break in to produce good flavor, but once it's broken in it out-performs the 1.8 ohm coil by a mile. DISLIKES Leaking Issues - You'll need to watch out how you store and use the tank as it has some leaking issues Hard Disassembly - Because of the threading used, disassembly for cleaning can be difficult Open Airflow - With the airflow wide open, you get weak flavor Capacity - Though able to take in 2ml of e-liquid, because of gurgling when full, you essentially get only 1.8ml if you want to have a smooth vape 0.7 ohm Coils - These coils take a while to break-in to get good flavor, which may turn-off some vapers LIKES Airflow - Better than the Nautilus Mini, the airflow with the Nautilus 2 gives you a wider range of airflow options Mouth piece - Looks and feels nice Protective Glass Case - A layer of protection that gives you a feeling of security Coil Selection - A wide range of coils you can use with the tank ensures you won't have a hard time looking for replacements SHOULD YOU GET THE NAUTILUS 2? The Nautilus 2 by Aspire is a throwback to the original Nautilus, what with its bell shape and airflow suited for mouth-to-lung vapers. However, flavor is dependent on the coil and airflow used. While the tank takes in a variety of coils, you may still have to contend with leaking issues. Not everyone had a bad experience with this tank, which is evident by the positive reviews it has elsewhere. Maybe I just had some bad luck. If I get the chance to try another one of these I'll do so and if the outcome is different I'll update this review.
