Small, simple, and portable, the iCare Mini is the perfect device if you are just starting out. Despite the throwback to beginner mods five years ago, the iCare Mini performs so much better than its old school predecessors. Here we'll explain why it performs better... PACKAGING & DESIGN The iCare Mini comes in a fairly plain, standard box. Inside, you get the device itself, a PCC (Personal Charging Case), a USB cable, two 1.1 ohm coil heads, and a user manual. It is pretty small, almost as small as a Bic lighter, making it super portable. You can fit it inconspicuously in your shirt pocket easily. Most of the device is covered in a matte finish, and the mouthpiece is made of plastic. There are no buttons. All you'll find is a micro USB port and two charging pins. It's a fairly basic device with simplicity at it's core. It doesn't take much to get it going. In fact, you should take care handling it in front of a fan or your air conditioning as these can cause the iCare to activate. Despite being a beginner's device, it's nice to see that there is some sort of air flow control. You'll need to remove the inner tube of the device to adjust it. Adjusting the air flow is a little fiddly, but once you have your preferred air flow set, you won't have to set it again unless you decide you want to change the settings. Taste is somewhat muted with a lot of the flavors. Don't expect massive clouds as the maximum output is just 15 watts. Combined with a 1.1ohm coil, you really can't expect too much. Vapor production may not produce large clouds but it is still good compared to a lot of other similar devices. BATTERY DETAILS The iCare Mini is powered by a 320mAh battery that's good for about three to four hours of vaping. If you opt to get the PCC this will extend the battery life to at around a day and a half. The PCC has a 2300mAh battery inside it that has lasted me for two days. TANK DETAILS The iCare Mini has a built-in 1.3ml tank. It may not seem much but since the holes inside the coils are so small, your e-liquid tends to last longer than usual. There is a line in the middle of the tank's glass that shows how much e-juice you should fill. This line can be a bit difficult to see in less than ideal light, making overfills a common occurrence. However, I managed to get around this by filling the device while it is charging inside the PCC since the inside of the tank lights up while charging. Accessing the tank requires you to remove the mouthpiece and using it as a tool to unscrew the inner tube. The mouthpiece has three small holes inside: one for air flow, one for unscrewing the tube, and one for the pressure sensor. Be careful not to touch the sensor whenever you remove the mouthpiece. The coil heads are rated at 1.1ohms each and while they aren't vapor and flavor champs, they do work quite well. DISLIKES Airflow Hard to Adjust - Located inside the inner tube, you'll need to remove the whole assembly just to adjust air flow Sensitive Sensor - While this helps when using the device, you'll need to take care where you place the device, as it might fire on its own when near any form of rushing air Filling can be hard - Especially in dark places, you'll need to take care to to overfill Muted Flavor and Vapor - Compared to other mods, the flavor and vapor may be muted, but some ejuices work well. It's all a matter of finding the right combo LIKES Size - The main reason why the iCare Mini is sought after by even advanced vapers, the size makes it easy to carry and stealthy to use Simple to Use - With no buttons anywhere, you only need to puff to make it work Portable Charging Case - The included portable charger makes the device the perfect all-day stealth vape SHOULD YOU GET THE ICARE MINI? While the cons may seem to outweigh the pros, the iCare Mini is still a great device. One I have been using over my other, more advanced mods, for more than a month now. Its simplicity and stealthiness make the device a great all day device especially in places where you don't want to be noticed. The PCC unit gives the unit a huge power boost, making it last for more than a day. While vapor may be muted, this makes it perfect as a stealth device. Overall, I recommend the iCare Mini if you're looking to quit smoking or if you want something stealthy and simple to use.
